So In a Month…

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

I will be getting married to Cindy, on our 5 year anniversary. It is exciting! We have been through a lot… The good, bad and the ugly, but in the end everything has worked out to our benefit and only made us stronger. We are getting married in the Court on the Friday and having a small, family only reception on the Saturday

After we get married and have our reception we are going on a 7-day cruise, the Mexican Riviera. I have been on it before with my family and it was a blast; we did not do much but it was still really cool. This time, since it is just Cindy and I, we are planning on taking advantage of a great deal of the on-board activitiesand we even signed up for some onshore activities to see more of the areas of Mexico we will be visiting. The cities we will get to see are Puerto Villarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. I am really looking forward to all of this because it will let me focus on life, rather than business and all the bureaucracy and asshole (unpaying) customer bullshit.

Anyway, that is the news.

I Was Up Early…

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

I was working hard last night and did not get to bed until just before 2AM, which not usual during the week, at least anymore. Somehow I was able to wake up at 6AM and function, which is highly unusual. It was good I got up so early though, one of my clients servers was not functioning correctly. I was able to get the issue resolved, while being coherent, always a positive. Now I am waiting for the “boss of the day” to get to his office so we can work on a small project.

I am glad it is Friday and when I get home tonight I am going to play Borderlands until I pass out… Which will probably be early because I am already tired, heh.

Borderlands, Get it NOW!

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

So my brother and I both got our copies of Borderlands in the mail yesterday. The first thing we did was fire up the online co-op. The game is simply amazing! We only got to play for a couple of hours, but let me tell you. We encountered over 100 different guns, blew people to peices, drove vehicles and even fought each other to prove who had the biggest cojones. (I won of course, haha).

Anyway, it seems the game plentiful by any standard. I cannot wait to play it some more. It is quickly becoming my favorite game, even over Fallout 3, based on the extensive arsenal, quests (thus far), and of course online co-op. It really makes a huge difference to be able to experience the game with your friends/family and not have to be in the same room, house or city.

Cloudy Mind

Monday, October 19th, 2009

I have been wanting to post for the past week, but each time I pick a topic I lose the need/want/care to write about it. I have a clusterfuck of a brain(shit)storm brewing in my head and I find it hard to concentrate at many times throughout the day. Too much to do, too little time, but things are surprisingly, ok.

Something interesting happened on last Thursday or Friday (cannot remember the day), but I was at a client’s office in the second story, trying to collect a check. As we were talking about it, I was staring out the window on the cross-streets of Bristol and McFadden and suddenly… A truck ran a red light and t-boned a van. The van nearly did a 360, and was very close to flipping upside-down. I hate seeing shit like that, gets me all weired feeling. It did not seem like anyone was hurt so that was a positive outcome of a negative event. Oh, and I did not get the check. Typical.

That is all I have for now, it was hard to type this, probably took 30 minutes, sad I know. Time to get back to work, or possibly sleep…

A Little Hasty, Oh and it is Monday

Monday, October 12th, 2009

So in my last post I stated I was going to learn C#… After a good amount of research I decided that I will probably start with C or C++ so I can write code that can be used cross-platform without porting the hell out of it. My general understanding is that this is probably a better route to go in most cases, especially if you want to be able to use the software on other platforms.

It is Monday, cold and cloudy in Southern California and it is supposed to rain tomorrow. I have waited all year for this and could not be any happier that it is happening a little sooner than normal. I am probably one of the Southern Californian’s who hate hot weather and would rather it be cold and rainy. And that makes me fuckin awesome, as usual.
